  • 480€ (EUR) Registration fees* for participants from institutions in High Income Countries (HIC),
  • 300€ (EUR) PhD-discount rate for registration fees* for participants from institutions in High Income Countries (HIC),
  • 120€ (EUR) Registration fees* for participants from institutions in Low and Medium Income Countries (LMIC) and
  • 80€ (EUR) PhD-discount rate for registration fees* for participants from institutions in Low and Medium Income Countries (LMIC).

*Additional 18 % Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per Govt. of India norms, will be applicable for all the registrations.

The fees for the symposium apply to all participants and include presentations and keynotes, conference programme, reception, lunches, coffees and teas. Accommodation and travel expenses are not included.

The deadline for registration is 10th September, 2023.

At least one presenting author of a submission needs to be registered. Only then, can we include the constribution into the programme. Every registered participant gets a certificate of presentation or a certificate of attendance.

Call for Abstracts is closed

Abstracts should have of no more than 500 words.

They should refer to the following thematic strands:

  1. Urban dynamics: global perspectives on structures and dynamics of cities, trajectories of cities towards sustainability, urban models for urban transformation, urban sprawl, densification, suburbanisation, cities as complex systems, urban spatial networks and accessibility, and spatiotemporal big data.
  2. Resilient urban and regional systems: urban planning and climate change adaptation with a focus on urban heat island, land policies, benefits of green and blue infrastructures, energy transition, renewable energies and energy efficiency, smart city models, socio-spatial inequalities.  
  3. Open data in planning and urban management: open data portals, geodata infrastructures, governmental open data initiatives, co-production of geodata, citizen science, participatory approaches, data literacy in urban planning.
  4. Big Data Analytics and Land Use: This topic contains contributions whose topical focus is related to use of big data, AI, Machine learning and modeling for Land use Science & urban ecosystem.

Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral presentations and be published in the digital conference proceedings.

We also want to emphasize the possibility of poster presentations across all thematic strands. Please select "Submission for Posters", if you prefer this option.

Submission guideline

An abstract is a standalone text, which concisely summarises the key points of the paper and positions them in the scientific discourse. It should not, for example, be a summary of the introduction or conclusion and should also not include abbreviations or references. It further must be anonymous for the peer review process.
